Mary is about 75% of the way to sitting unassisted. Yesterday she went about 25 minutes sitting up and playing. She can lean forward to reach things and sit back up. She doesn't immediately fold forward into a taco like she used to. I can tell it tires her out to sit up, using those cores muscles and all, but she grunts and flexes her abs if you leave her lying down, so she must want to sit up. Anyway, I think it will make everything much, much easier when she is able to sit unassisted -- especially because then she can ride in the shopping cart with her cool shopping cart cover.
