All Dogs Go To Heaven

I hate writing about anything sad, but here goes. I am sad to report that Mary's fur-cousin, Emily Alley, has gone to dog heaven after a long and beautiful life. She brought a lot of joy to her family, and she will always have a special place in my heart as the first dog Mary petted. I liked to call her donut dog because her color and shape reminded me of one of those delicious cinnamon powdered donuts. On our most recent trip to Phoenix I called her "beany nose" because she was on a diet of beans and yams and had some bean stuck to her nose. So, my beautiful little donut dog, I hope you are romping through dog heaven, eating whatever you want and plopping down for a nap when you are tired. We'll miss you.
