First of all, Jeff and I are both aware that little children and babies aren't supposed to play with packing materials, plastic bags, etc., because they are a suffocation hazard. However, a month or so ago I ordered some items from http://www.amazon.com/ and they arrived with these nice bubble packs to keep the contents of the box from moving around. One day when I was at work, Jeff gave some of the packs to Mary while she was sitting in her stroller watching him do the dishes. Well she went to town on it. Loves it more than any actual toy that's been purchased for her. She will beat that thing to death several times a day if you let her. Jeff calls it her "Air Toy." I guess that sounds better than "Forbidden Suffocation Hazard Toy." So we closely supervise her playing with it, and it usually ends up on the floor because of her wildly flapping arms and imperfect pincer grasp. By the way, Jeff is usually the creative one when it comes to entertaining Mary. He also discovered how much she loves slapping the wood blinds.

This reminds me of the Haribo gummy package she played with at the beach. Is she still punching away?
Good words.
