Splashing, Eating

We have been trying to feed Mary some cereal and Gerber fruits. . . no more than a tablespoon at a time . . . but she still hasn't gotten the hang of it. However, when one of us is eating "people food," she launchs off our lap to get at it. Today she cried when I took away the nectarine (my nectarine) she was licking and gumming. But actual baby food? No. We'll keep working on it.

One thing she does seem to love is being in the water. Today she went in with Jeff and her cousin Sam. As usual, she seemed very comfortable and enjoyed splashing the water with her hands. We had Claudia, John, Renee, Stu, Margi, Sam and Mitchell all over for swimming and lunch, and it was so much fun. Plus these people brought some tasty lunch stuff...yum. Of course Mary wanted a ham sandwich but not strained pears!
